Fit, slim people are not only
more attractive but they feel better in themselves and find
life much easier to cope with. Enough of the preaching - we are
here to help find the best way to lose weight and to keep it
off permanently !
Best way to lose
weight
It's an unavoidable fact that
regular exercise, in conjunction with the right diet, is the
best way to lose weight. The first stage is to put together an
exercise plan that takes into account your age, body type,
existing weight and exactly what it is you want to achieve.
Whether you devise this routine yourself, or seek the advice of
the expert at your local gym, the secret to your success is not
to be too ambitious and to do it regularly.
Eating sensibly is absolutely
essential for short and long term weight loss. Starvation diets
fail because your body reacts to the new eating regime by
storing every last ounce of fat available and while, at first,
you may experience rapid weight loss, you will quickly reach a
plateau and further weight loss becomes almost impossible. A
diet that ensures that you still get all the nutrients your
body needs while being low in sugar and fat is usually the
ideal.
Late night eating
is a no-no.
One of the best ways to lose
weight includes limiting the amount you eat late at night, your
body does not digest food while you are asleep, instead the
digestion begins the following morning when you wake up,
causing you to feel tired and listless. It is far better to eat
little and often throughout the day keeping your calorie intake
within limits and remaining physically active. It is essential
to keep your metabolism up to speed, this can be done with the
help of cardiovascular exercises, preferably early in the
morning.

Drinking lots of the right
fluids will play a huge part in making you feel less hungry and
therefore reducing your food intake. It was recently discovered
that meals in liquid form stay in the stomach longer than the
same food in a solid state. The result of this is, of course,
that by not feeling hungry for a longer period of time reduces
the overall intake of food.
Try to drink around eight
pints of water, in all it's forms, throughout the day, this
will include tea (herbal is best), no more than one cup of
coffee, fresh fruit juice and of course plain water with and in
between meals. Alcohol, I hate to point out, should only be
consumed in very small amounts.
Try not to think of losing
weight as an impossible mountain to climb, remember, that the
best way to lose weight is a combination of the right diet and
a modest amount of exercise will achieve amazing results and
have you not only looking great but feeling on top of the world

IMPORTANT
We do not offer medical advice. Before
undertaking any diet or weight loss program you should,
first, consult your doctor or physician. You should be
especially careful if you have any existing medical
condition or are taking any form of
medication.
Exercise should be approached with
caution. It is not uncommon to sustain injury when taking
up exercise for the first time or after a long period of
relative inactivity. At the slightest sign of pain or
discomfort you should stop exercising and seek the help
of an appropriately qualified expert before resuming
activity.
The diets we recommend are not suitable
for pregnant or breast-feeding women, nor should they be
undertaken by anyone under the age of 18 without first
seeking expert medical
opinion.
