Exercise combined with the right diet is the key to getting skinny legs.  The most important thing to remember when looking at what exercises to do is to keep in mind whether or not you wish to increase or decrease the size of your leg muscles. To increase you should incorporate weights into your workout. However if you wish to reduce the size of your legs you should avoid weights as these will only bulk up your muscles and not give the desired effect. 

 

Light exercises like cycling or jogging help tone the calf muscles. Do these exercises every day for around 30 minutes you’ll soon see the benefits of your efforts.  Stretching exercises and lunges tone the thighs. You could incorporate these exercises as a warm up to your jogging or cycling and work on the whole leg as a result. If you begin your new workout regime in the spring you will see the difference in your legs before the weather is good enough to bare them to the public.

In short, you should not so much think in terms of diet but rather a complete life style change that incorporates a sensible diet and modest exercise. You will feel better immediately and in the medium term look a lot better. You will get skinny legs, as well as, the toned, firm, slender body you've always wanted.
