How To Lose
Abdominal Fat
If there is one aspect of
weight loss, above all others, that men and women everywhere
are most focused on it's how to get rid of abdominal fat.
We are bombarded by photographs of celebrities and models,
their slender and toned bodies are portrayed as being the norm
and what everyone should strive for. If you are struggling with
excess fat on your stomach and you want to know

First of all we need to wake
up to reality. To begin with, I have to tell you that there is
no magic potion that will zap the unwanted flab on your
stomach. Diet pills may help in the short term but they cannot
give a strong, toned tummy.
In order to lose belly fat
permanently you have to combine exercise and diet. You need to
focus on a healthy diet and do some cardiovascular and
resistance training to strengthen your abdominal muscles. Take
these steps and you can look forward to permanently losing that
extra tummy fat.
Calorie reduction is
important, but ...
Don't think, for one moment,
that losing fat around your middle is easier for some than
others or that you can't do it. Calorie reduction is vitally
important and should be central to your new diet. You should be
consuming less calories than your body burns in order to lose
fat that has been stored on your body. A pound of fat is the
equivalent of 3,500 calories so if you intend to lose a pound
per week you need to reduce your daily calorie intake by 500
calories.
There is a limit on how far
you should go in restricting your intake of calories. You may
have heard of starvation mode, this happens when you deprive
your body of so many calories that it begins to store fat in
order to beat the famine ! You need to reduce your calories
just enough to start burning off the fat and then get rid of
additional fat by exercising.
Exercise - not Olympic
standard !
Regular walks, runs, swims or
bike rides are the kind of cardiovascular exercises you need
for weight loss. Weight resistance exercises can also be used
on alternative days to help to tone and strengthen your
muscles. I'm sure your neighborhood gym would design an
exercise plan just for you.
The combination of gym and
road work will make your fat belly a thing of the
past.
Naughty drinks have to
go !
Sugary snacks and drinks or
products high in fat cannot be a part of your new diet. What
should be central to your new lifestyle are fruit, vegetables
and fish.
Getting started is probably
the most difficult part of the whole process but I can promise
that if you follow the advice above and find a diet that is
right for you then your entire life will improve hugely.
Remember the journey across the desert begins with a single
step, with what you have learnt here and a new, sensible diet,
you can look forward to a healthier, happier you.

IMPORTANT
We do not offer medical advice. Before
undertaking any diet or weight loss program you should,
first, consult your doctor or physician. You should be
especially careful if you have any existing medical
condition or are taking any form of
medication.
Exercise should be approached with
caution. It is not uncommon to sustain injury when taking
up exercise for the first time or after a long period of
relative inactivity. At the slightest sign of pain or
discomfort you should stop exercising and seek the help
of an appropriately qualified expert before resuming
activity.
The diets we recommend are not suitable
for pregnant or breast-feeding women, nor should they be
undertaken by anyone under the age of 18 without first
seeking expert medical
opinion.
