With any diet you must be
careful to ensure that you get all the nutrients that your body
needs because losing weight while, at the same time, your
skin, nails and hair begin to look terrible is not the way to
go. Simple carbohydrates are converted by your body into
glucose which is carried around the body in the blood and is
converted into energy, so clearly a healthy amount of carbs is
part of a well balanced diet.

Almost any kind including,
anchovies, bluefish, catfish, cod, flounder, halibut, herring,
mackerel, mahi-mahi, salmon, sardine, scrod, snapper,
swordfish, trout and tuna.
Meat
Bacon, beef, calf
liver, chicken, duck, emu, goose, guinea hen, ham,
lamb, ostrich, pheasant, pork, quail, steak,
squab, turkey, veal,
Shellfish
Clams, crab,
lobster, mussel, oysters, scallops, shrimp, squid
Vegetable
Alfalfa sprouts,
asparagus, avocado, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, broccoli,
brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, chicory, chives,
cucumber, eggplant, endive, fennel, kale, leeks, mushrooms,
okra, olives, onion, parsley, peppers, pumpkin,
radishes, rhubarb, sauerkraut, scallions, sorrel, spinach,
squash, tomato, turnips, water chestnuts and
zucchini.
Dairy
Products & Drinks
Butter, cheese,
coffee, egg, margarine, mayonnaise, tea and water.
Most of the above
contain no carbohydrate at all and the few that do have less
than 10%.

Your body
converts carbohydrates into glucose, which, in turn, provides
you with energy and is the main fuel of your muscles. If you
deprive yourself of carbohydrates then you may suffer from one
of all of these:

Quick weight loss -
however this is mainly due to muscle loss and
dehydration.

A high fat diet can
lead to heart disease, strokes, gall stones, kidney
stones etc.

A diet lacking in
fibre can lead to constipation and bowel
disorders.

Bad breath - yuck
